The Belz Museum of Asian & Judaic Art is actually located on South Main Street at the intersection of Gayoso Avenue in Memphis. It was originally opened back in 1998 as the “Peabody Place Museum”, but has since been renamed into its present name.
What’s special about this museum is that it is based on the private collection of Memphis developers Jack and Marilyn Belz, who owned the “Peabody Hotel and Peabody Place”.
Visitors who come to this museum will find that it houses so many amazing antiques and items from many centuries ago. It features over 1,000 objects, including intricately carved jades, ivories, sculptures, paintings, ceramics, lacquer, textiles, and funerary art.
