Incheon Chinatown

Incheon’s Chinatown came to be created when the city opened up the Incheon Port back in 1883. It is a great place to see and learn about how the Chinese culture has entwined itself with Korea.

In the past, the area was mostly stores selling goods imported from China. However nowadays, you can find most businesses here are actually restaurants. It is here where you can try almost all your favorite Chinese dishes and even some with a Korean flare.

Songdo Central Park

Songdo Central Park is a public park in the Songdo district of Incheon. It is actually modeled after the famous Central Park from New York. And just like Central Park in New York, you can do many of the same things here at the Korean version of it.

The park has become popular with families in Songdo and Incheon, and draws day-visitors from the Seoul area. The forested area in the park also fills with daytime tents and campers on weekends. A patio on the east side of the park has cafes and small restaurants, and canoes are available for rental. A water-taxi service crosses the lake for transportation and tourism.

Fun Fact: The famous song “Gangnam Style” from Psy has used this park to film a big portion of his videos.

Ilsan Lake Park

Ilsan Lake Park is an artificial park in Asia that spans over 991,800 square meteres. It is one of the largest man-man parks in all of Asia. They even have a large fresh water lake that is well managed to remain clean all year round.

There are also quite a bit of things you can do here like riding a bike, children’s playground, musical fountain, natural experience site and much more. This park even contains over 100 species of wild flowers and is surrounded by a dense forest of over 200,000 trees.

Overall a great place to relax and unwind if you are tired from all the city life.

Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village

As you know, when the Incheon Port officially opened back in 1883, it led to the start of many foreigners coming into the area for settlement. Eventually, the area became pretty prosperous but many young people decided to move out which left the village in a state of stagnation.

Because of this, a renovation project was brought on board to help the development of the village. They decided to paint the village and decorate it with cute classic fairy tales making it a scenic attraction for people to visit.

Onemount is the world’s first theme park that delivers both winter and summer fun every single day of the year. It is both a snow park and a water park, so you can enjoy the summer and winter season fun without having to wait for the seasons to actually come.

Inside you can find a shopping mall, snow park, water park, golf course, fitness center, spa and much more.

An example of things you can do for instance at the water park are indoor and outdoor slides, surf wave pool, flowing pool and aqua play and others. While the snow park keeps a wintry cool temperature all throughout the year. It is a bundles of fun that every family and person would enjoy.

Incheon Grand Park is an urban nature park that is surrounded by Gwanmosan Mountain and Sangasan Mountain. It is Incheon’s only large scale natural green park that spans across 727 acres wide of land. Wolmi Theme Park is a popular amusement park complex located on Wolmido Island that many people from all over the country visit. It was first opened in 1992 and was called “My Land”, but has since been remodeled into what is now called “Wolmi theme Park”.

This park features many rides that people would love such as the 70-meter-high Hyper Shoot Drop, Tagada Disco, a two-story Viking Ship, a 115-meter-high Ferris Wheel, and many other thrilling attractions. It also houses a large indoor children’s playground that includes water activity facilities such as mini flume ride, water boats, and water ball playing, as well as a 4D room.

Fun Fact: This theme park is also famous because it has made several appearances in many variety shows like “We Got Married,” “Two Days and One Night,” “Running Man,” and more.

AquaPlanet ILSAN

One of the largest convergence aquarium in South Korea. The aquarium consists of 3 levels which consists of many marine life creatures like jelly fish, beavers, otters, sand tigers, penguins, and much more. The market is most popular for its delicious foods such as dak gangjeong, jjinppang (steamed buns), dumplings and much more. Not only is this place good for food, but the market also offers much for visitors to see and enjoy with its charming decorations and a Lighthouse Park that serves as a venue for exciting festivals that are held every year.

Sorae Pogu Traditional Fish Market

Sorae Pogu Traditional Fish Market is a place that is famous for selling fresh blue swimming crab. Every morning you’ll be able to see many tourists just lining up trying to buy these freshly caught crabs which are insanely sweet and sold for a very affordable price.

This fish market is divided into different areas with each area offering different kinds of seafood. It even has a downstairs area which is full of restaurants and you can bring your freshly bought seafood in for them to cook for you.



G-Tower is a 33 storey building located in Incheon. Inside you can find things like an international organizations, restaurants, banks and even a post office.

But what makes this place so great is that it has an observatory located on the 33rd floor. Anybody is able to visit it and will be able to see views of the city through an aerial view.

Jeondeungsa Temple

Jeondeungsa Temple was originally called Jinjongsa during the Goryeo dynasty. It was used as a sanctuary that enshrined family ancestors. Jeondeungsa Temple is located in Samrangseong Fortress, which is said to have been built by the three sons of Dangun, the founder of Korea.

Jeondeungsa Temple contains significant architectural works, including the main building Daeungbojeon Hall. Decorated with delicate carvings, it is a superlative example of the architecture of the mid-Joseon dynasty. The canopy situated above the Buddha statue inside Daeungbojeon Hall showcases masterful workmanship. On the walls and columns of Daeungbojeon Hall, visitors can see names of soldiers written on the walls. These soldiers fought against the French Navy and wrote their names in Jeondeungsa to pray to Buddha for good luck during the war.
