Here at the DFW airport, there are many eateries located in each of the terminals. You can find things like barbecue, sandwiches, soul food, fast food, dessert and many more options all around.
Some of the popular fast food chains include:
- Whataburger – Texas specialty burger restaurant.
- Starbucks – Coffee and drinks shop
- Subway – Sandwich Shop
- Pizza hut – Pizza and pasta restaurant
- Chick-Fil-A – Chicken Sandwiches
- and more are all located here as well.

As you know, Dallas is famous for its art collections located all around the city.
The same can be said for its airport as there are more than 30 artworks installed there for people to see. Some of which includes the terrazzo floors, an outdoor sculpture garden, and even paintings done by famous people.
And a great way to kill some time is to simply roam around the airport and try to find every art piece you can see.

Sometimes flying around all day can make you feel really tired as well as dirty.

And with the hi-speed internet provided by the airport, you can browse the web and do anything you want. From reading books to news or even watching videos on Youtube, browsing the web is a great way to kill time.
Check Out The City Of Dallas
Assuming you have a layover for quite a few hours, a fun thing you might be interested in doing is to leave the airport and check out the city.
It’s a very convenient thing to do as transportation is amazing here in Dallas. You can choose between getting an Uber/Lyft/Taxi’s or even using the Dart Public Transit Network which is a cheap way to travel between areas. For instance, the Dart Rail Orange Line is a popular choice as there is a station found at Terminal A.
If you are going to be traveling around from the DART Public Transit Network, then you’ll be happy to know that it connects to many Dallas neighborhoods. Some of the neighborhoods include:
- The Pearl/Arts District is the perfect spot to be for all things art. Here you can find things like the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center, or the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.
- The West End District is another great place to visit as it is filled with plenty of shops and restaurants for you to enjoy. You can also visit Dealey Plaza to learn about history as this was the place where President JFK was assassinated.
Some other things you can do around Dallas is to visit the Dallas World Aquarium which is a fascinating place to learn about all things marine life. Or you can take some time off and visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library which is a great place to learn about what George W. Bush did during his life and presidency.
