Uchi is probably one of the best sushi joints in the city of Houston. And when it offers a happy hour type deal, you just can’t afford to miss it. From cheap drinks that are ranging from $3 to $6 dollars or even their delicious sushi which ranges anywhere from as low as $6 dollars or more. This is the spot to try if you want to get some great tasting food and drinks without having to break the bank.
When: Monday to Saturday 5:00 – 6:30 pm, Sunday 12:00 – 5:00 pm
Another top tier sushi spot that you must try is Kata Robata. This is one of my favorite spots as they have some of the tastiest sushi you have ever tried. And thankfully they have a happy hour where everything is affordable and cheap. Here you can try some of their rolls for around $8 to $9 dollars which feature Long horn or Spider or Spicy Salmon rolls. They also offer some appetizers like “Yuzu Salmon Carpaccio, Fish and Fish, Kobe Beef Tacos” and much more for only around $4 to $9 dollars. Definitely a great steal that’ll make your mouth crave for more and more.

Sushi powerhouse Nobu also offers a type of happy hour called Tanoshi Hour where they offer some of their items for a cheap and affordable price. Here you can find things like Yellowtail Tartar, Snow Crab Tacos, Wagyu Dumplings, Yellowtail Jalapeno Roll, and much more all ranging from around $6 to $12 dollars. Plus, they also offer a variety of different drinks from sake to beer to wine and more all for $10 dollars or less.

Roka Akor is a place that simply doesn’t skimp out on high end ingredients. And from the times of 4:30 through 6:00 pm, you’ll be able to try some of their best tasting bites all for a low price. Ranging from $4 to $12 dollars, you’ll be able to find things like Wagyu Beef and Kimchi Dumplings, Pork Belly with Pickled Breakfast Radish, Tuna Tartare with Avocado and Taro Chips, and much more. Plus they also have a pretty good drinks menu with wine only costing $7 a glass, beer and Sake at $5, or even cocktails which are at $8.

Jinya Ramen is one of the most popular ramen spots to go to in the Houston area. And you’ll be pleased to know that they also offer a happy hour menu as well. Although it isn’t the biggest menu of them all, you’ll find things like Salmon Poke, Panna Cotta, Jinya Bun and more for around $5 dollars or less. A decent place to be if you are feeling like snacking on something light yet tasty.
When: Sunday to Thursday 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday 5:00 – 9:00 pm
Located inside a residential street, you’ll be able to find a gem of a place called Ambrosia. It is the perfect spot to try some Asian fusion along with some tasty snacks and drinks. Their happy hour which they offer daily features Wasabi Shui Mai, Popodoms & Raita, Yusheng Salmon Crudo and more all for around $6 dollars or less. They also offer a reverse happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 pm till close.
Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen

After getting featured on Netflix’ Ugly Delicious and Street Eats, the owner of Kau Ba decided to feature a happy hour for diners to pair with their meals. The happy hour which consists of 30% off alcohol and mocktails is enough to brighten anybody’s day.

When you’re thinking of Greek foods, Nico Nico’s is the place to be. It is a staple in the Houston community as many people love to come here to eat. You can find them having a happy hour during the afternoon time on the weekdays where they serve really cheap meals for around $3 to $5 dollars. Helen in the Heights

It features snacks which you can choose from Greek Dips, Feta Brined Wings, Poutine, Bourbon Baklava Soft Serve all for about $4 to $8 dollars. Their drinks menu is also pretty good as you can get half off all cocktails and beer while wine is $8 dollars by the glass.
Yia Yia Mary’s

Yia Yia Mary’s is another popular Greek place that many people like to eat at. Here you can find a happy hour that specializes in delicious and tasty Greek Appetizers that is both cheap yet affordable. Usually around $5 dollars or less which is a great deal! They also some some cocktails, beer and wine which you can get for around $5 dollars or under as well.

Calle Onze is a restaurant that specializes in Tex-Mex cuisines and they do it good. Their happy hour which can be found daily features some authentic Tex-Mex flares which you will love. From Tamales to Quesadilla to even Tacos all for a great affordable price of $3 to $8 dollars. Their cocktail happy hour offers a variety of cocktails that you’ll love for $6 dollars or less.

Riel is a simple restaurant that provides an intimate setting with an ever changing menu. But one thing that hasn’t been changing, is their happy hour menu. On it you can find things like Bone Marrow, Mini Dogs, Gator Karaage, Boudin Eggrolls and more all for $10 dollars or less. There’s also a selection of drinks you can choose from that ranges between $4 to $9 dollars.
When: Tuesdays to Saturdays 5:00 – 6:30 pm
UB Preserve is the brainchild of James Beard award winning chef owner Chris Sheperd that showcases Houston at its finest. They recently rolled out an interesting menu called “Snack Time” which is basically a happy hour menu. Inside the menu you’ll be able to find some simple snacks like Boudin Siu Mai, Turkey Neck Molotes, Garlic Cucumbers and some more for only around $5 dollars.. They also feature booze on their menu as well which you can get for about $7 dollars and under.

This simple place offers a nice tasting happy hour that many people will enjoy. Their menu features 8 wins on happy hour pricing which you can get for either $5 dollars a glass or $15 dollars a bottle. Plus there’s sangria by the glass $5 or carafe $15, local craft beer for $3 to $6, and happy hour bites for $6 and under.
Relish Restaurant & Bar
When: Monday Through Friday 11:00 – 5:30 pm, Saturday 10:00 – 5:30 pm (Drinks) Monday Through Saturday 3:00 – 5:30 pm (Snacks)
So relish Restaurant and Bar is a nice and interesting restaurant that you may enjoy. Their happy hour consists of $6 select cocktails including old fashioneds, Moscow mules, and more, along with $3 draft beer, and $6 wines by the glass. If you want snacks, you’ll have to wait till 3 when it starts and you can get small dishes like a classic burger, bruschetta with duck liver mousse, deviled eggs, and a kale salad ranging in price from $4 to $10

If you love oysters, then you will definitely love this place. During happy hour, you can get these tasty things for about 75 cents. Along with half off snacks like Fried Oysters, Dan Dan Shrimp or even half off drinks, wine, and cocktails. Definitely a great bargain for what you are getting.
Poitín Bar & Kitchen
When: Daily From 3:00 – 6:00 pm
A pretty decent place that specializes in Southern American style foods. On their happy hour, you can find things like chicken wings, beef cheek tacos, “possum pie,” and fish balls all from $6 to $10. They also serve drinks like $8 cocktails, $5 glasses of wine, and draft beers at $2 off. They also have a reverse happy hour during the night from 9:00 pm till close.

This fairly new restaurant which specializes in American food, also has a really nice happy hour menu that many will like. From things like half off oysters, wagyu hot dogs, chicken fried pickle spears, deviled eggs and many more all at affordable prices. You can also get drinks like $8 dollar cocktails, $4 dollar beers, and $2 dollar off wine by the glass.

Located in the River Oaks District, you’ll find this charming French Bistro that serves up some tasty cuisines. And when you come during their happy hour, you’ll be able to find select drinks and wines for about $7 dollars or less. They also serve petite bites which include Scallop Carpaccio, Goat Cheese Croquettes, Stuffed Mushrooms, and more all for around $7 dollars.
B.B. Italia Kitchen & Bar
When: Monday To Friday 3:00 – 6:30 pm
Creative and tap cocktails at $9 each, wines by the glass from $7 to $17, pizza ranging from $12 to $15 for an eight-inch pie or $19 to $27 for a 16-inch for pie, and small bites ranging from $4 to $12 including an antipasto board with cured Italian meats and cheeses, olives and grilled bread.

Located in the ritzy River Oaks area, this pleasant restaurant serves up a really refreshing happy hour that many people love. It’s menu consists of seasonal bites and beverages that is constantly changing. Depending on when you come, you may find things like tuna tartare with spicy aioli or steamed black mussels, saucy with garlic lemon-butter, and should most definitely be paired with a French rosé or Italian rouge classico — each just $4 per glass.
