The market consists of around 26 shopping malls, 30,000 specialty shops, and 50,000 manufacturers. It is also one of South Korea’s largest wholesale and retail shopping districts, with items for sale ranging from textiles, clothes, shoes, and jewelry, to leather goods, toys, electronics, and office supplies.

It is a large and vibrant fish and seafood center located in the Noryangjin-dong neighborhood near the 63 Building and Han River. Basically think of an aquarium where you can actually eat the exhibits. However, it is different from other fish markets around the world as many of the fish are still alive in the tanks, which means everything is as fresh as it can be.

The market has over 800 vendors who sell these delicious seafood fresh from the ocean at very cheap and affordable prices. Plus, the upper levels of the market consists of many restaurants who serve many Korean and Japanese dishes.

This place is open 24 hours long and lets you buy all the seafood you can imagine. Simply go up to any vendor and buy whatever you like, then bring it to a table and start eating.

Gwangjang Market

Gwangjang Market

Gwangjang Market was the first permanently established market in Seoul Korea. It has over 100 years of history to it making it one of the best places to visit. The market consists of more than 5,000 shops and 20,000 employees in an area of 42,000 square meters.

Here you can find many shops like traditional shops or clothing shops or even food stalls and restaurants where you can taste and enjoy some authentic Korean dishes.

In fact, many locals also come here to purchase prayer items for special Korean rituals as well as traditional wedding items like the “hanbok” and “pyebaek”.

Gyeongdong Market

Gyeongdong Market is a popular market that consists of over 1,000 stalls which specializes in selling homemade medicines, roots, herbs, and spices. In fact, many Chinese and Japanese tourists flock to this stall mainly for the herbs and medicinal products since they are really cheap.
